Resources

In our experience, self-publishing has its challenges — no platform is perfect — but here are some that members of our community have succeeded in using:

  • Editcetera — This cooperative association of freelance editors, proofreaders, indexers and writers was formed in 1971 by a small group and has grown steadily since then, selecting carefully screened, highly talented and experienced professional freelancers working for a wide variety of clients, including individual authors self-publishing.

  • Kathryn Klein — Kathryn edited John O’Neil’s book Life: The Whole Enchilada. Her editorial services are as-available and priced based on project scope.

Please note that John O’Neil and the Red Pepper Moon Press are not compensated for referrals to these resources. Members of our community have submitted these suggestions, but please be aware that you use these resources at your own risk. Please contact us if you would like to suggest a resource for us to add to this page.

  • After Midnight, Inc. — A creative services firm founded by Kathryn Klein (who designed John O’Neil’s book Life: The Whole Enchilada). Kathryn and her affiliates can assist with book design and illustration.
